New Classification Procedures Approved in
Michigan ASA
An
effort to improve
the classification of all fast pitch teams in Michigan is in effect for
2008. This will involve a "classification sub-committee" that reviews
all pitchers
in Michigan at least once per year to develop a "pitcher classification
list" and then reviews the roster of players with that pitcher to do a
final determination of "team classification". You may view
the most up to date pitcher classification list at the following link. If you
have questions or
disagreements, please state your reasons for disagreement in an email
to Scott Kelly (email link at the top of this page). A
formal appeal process will be developed by the state office in the near
